The volume of handmade marbles being produced today is certainly a lot smaller than is has been in previous generations, but there are still various glass artists around keeping the art of the handmade marble alive. Other marble artists infuse their handmade marbles with innovative painterly effects and various three dimensional objects. Skilled marbles artists are continually exploring new techniques and developing new styles much to the delight of avid marble collectors. These handmade marbles are produced in extremely limited quantities making them highly collectible. In general the more exquisite the marble the higher the price tag, but as with any collectible its always possible to get good deals if you keep your eyes open for them.
